Antiquity. All Form fades away. π

Ah yes! You remind me of Gertrude Stein (I think it was she?) who said of Pablo Picasso’s portraits, that he strips away the details and captures only the essence.
Thanks Eliza for your nice comment.

…and what was it you were feeling?

I was feeling physical and psychological exhaustion. I’d driven from Los Angeles to Phoenix in the morning to attend a memorial service. I didn’t want to stay in Phoenix, so drove back that evening. This was taken at a desert gas station about midnight. The scene was hot and windy and surreal.

A suiting picture describing emotional and physical exhaustion. Whew, that’s a drive.

Yeah, one way is bad enough, especially if you’re heading east in the early morning, and west in the late afternoon. Arrgh.

Oh, physical and psychological exhaustion – what I saw made me think you were feeling cranky. π

I always feel cranky! You’re so spot on. I think I should change my Gravatar with a tight crop on the crank.

Thanks so much, JoHanna. This spot felt as if time had stopped, which is a place that happens to us sometimes, too.
