Weekly Photo Challenge: Descent

Last leg of the zipline tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest canopy in Costa Rica. The target is the tiny orange flag. Glad I did it, but don’t want to ever do it again.

This week, show us your interpretation of descent — experiment with your point of view and angle, or go even deeper with the theme.

  1. I can think of a few things I’ve gladly done that I wouldn’t want to repeat. What an adventure, but I can understand the ‘once is enough’ feeling, too.

  2. Was the thrill all worth it?
I keep wondering, plus all that beauty you’re surrounded with, are the reasons I think zip lining would still be on my
    “to-do list ” …Spectacular shot!

    1. Yes the thrill was worth it. For me the fear wasn’t in falling, it was in stopping before I crashed into the giant tree that the giant cable is tied to! They start you out on a low (twenty feet) and short run, and as the trek goes on the runs get longer and WAY higher. The beauty of Costa Rica is unmatched in my experience. I tell everyone that the rain forest (as opposed to the cloud forest) is like the movie Avatar.
