Is that a fire-charred trunk? If so, it is an amazing regeneration! So glad you’ve had some refreshing rain. It must have felt like a holiday!

Yes, it is a fire-charred trunk. Actually, the tree survives, although there are quite a few fire-charred stumps around this area where we walk. The air and water droplets on leaves was magical. I so love the rain.
