fire6The first day of summer was very hot and very windy. An eerie yellow light came through the windows. When I looked out the upstairs bedroom window, I saw the smoke from a fire west of my home.

fire7There were actually two fires, a mile and a half apart. The two fires have now merged. One of the fires started when a car went off the road and down the mountain at this reservoir. This location is where the Bald Eagle from an earlier post had its nest. I think the baby is old enough to fly by now.

fire5Summer has arrived in southern California.

    1. Thanks David for the good wishes. We need all the cool we can get. Please also send us some wishes for a nice marine layer to float inland?
