Lived there for roughly five years back in the 70s. It’s a magical city, but like so many great cities these days, too expensive to live there. Very nice shot of that iconic bridge. 🙂

Yes I always think of you in SF because of your “Potrero” mention. We lived in Pacifica for a couple of years in the mid-80’s. At that time, our weekend getaways were focused on escaping the fog and finding sunshine! Be careful what you wish for, huh? I do love this area. I will pass your compliment on the photo along to my pal … at that point in the day it was my turn to drive … grrrrr.

I love San Francisco, after living there as a Nanny for a year many years ago, I fell in love with the energy and its diverse culture! Thanks for the great picture and memory.

It was surprisingly non-stressful. I had plenty of time to consider the heavenly view ahead to the bridge, and off to my left was the vast Pacific, and a lighted bouy, and a huge cargo ship heading for port. I imagined the men on the big boat looking forward to time in the city.

A lucky shot – dark enough to show the lights, light enough to see the bridge, and stuck in traffic – a perfect storm of opportunity!
