I used to live near a beach called Kugenuma Kaigan, near Tokyo (not really), and I swear the only reason I never learned to surf was because of the ridiculous crowds it brought for the 2 foot waves. Surf etiquette, etc… ridiculous. Hardly a sport, or a past time! lol It was better to sit on the beach, watch the scenery walk by and drink beer! lol
Beer sounds like the appropriate response to 80 degrees in January, after the preceeding week was low 40’s. Why get back into cold water? Now, cold beer, that’s understandable.
