Bluebell

While traveling around Wales, our various tour guides invariably pointed out the bluebells and seemed quite proud.   Several also mentioned that the plant is a protected species in the United Kingdom — I don’t know why.  They are pretty little flowers, and apparently they’re markers of ancient woodlands.  They also have medicinal properties.
